Coffee Pod Machines
Coffee pods are freshly roasted coffee, ground and tamped to prescribed fineness and density and then encapsulated in filter paper, similar to a teabag.
Pod machines take out the operator skill requirements associated with traditional coffee making, are easy to clean / maintain and the pods are easy to dispose of.
The main disadvantage to using pods is the cost of the pods themselves - typically around 20p per cup as opposed to 5-7p per cup for fresh bean coffee.
